The light

The light came in today

In came in quietly and strong

It let me know of its presence

I am a lover of the sun and the moon

I see them both as something magical

They can predict the things that happen

I live by the sun and the moon

I see what others do not see

I am in awe of the universe

The love of the sun is something

that may be considered odd

by some

But for me, its to my core

To my roots, been in the dirt

Since as long as I can remember

It should not surprise me

that I am more at home

in the earth

With it under my feet

Between my toes

or underneath my fingernails

I have always preferred the outside

Long days riding my bike

Feeling the wind in my hair

Feeling the sun on my body

Feeling the universe align

Just right for me

The light does this to me

It brings me home

Back to a place that was so uncertain

But the place does not matter

I was there

I was always there

I follow many things

I follow the tide in the water

I follow the sun as it sets

Every day is a new day

Time to explore the light

And let it bring the healing I need
