I hear it falling
The music plays gently in the background
The sounds of the waves crashing
I can think of a better way to spend
A day off
In between the noise and chaos
The sound of a car gliding through the puddles
All in the neighborhood
I call home
It is not where I would have thought I would be
But it is better than where I was
Both in the mind and in the flesh
The rain has a way of making one think
of all the new ways to look at this life
It clears and cleanses
It touches all the hidden spots
The rain brings it out into the light
Brings it out from the depth
I am so grateful for the rain
Grateful for the reminder
To stop and let it wash away
The thoughts, the rumination
They were not meant to come with
They were meant to be left behind
The energy shifting
I feel it every day and every moment
of this life
The rain is a restart
A rebalance and a regroup
Move forward like the rain flows
Over and under
Near and far, through and within
Clear it all out
Let it all flow out
It serves no more purpose for you
Not in this lifetime.
