Days

The day comes and the day goes

what will you make of it today?

I made a choice

I celebrated the day

I took what was frustrating

And I gave it right back to the universe

I reconnected to the earth

It was warm and welcoming

It wrapped around me like a hug

Some days we just need to scale back

Think about the things that bring us joy

Do the things that bring us peace

The day came today

The news came today

I gave in to it and then released it

I found the good in it

I heard the universe remind me

Live each day as if you do not know tomorrow will come

Do the things that center you

Do the things that bring you peace

Let all the rest flow off of you

There is no guarantee of days

Of time with certain people or places

That day I taught again

A different way to look at things

A colleague that wanted to learn

Her frustration of not being taught

Then the opportunity came

I faced it and showed her

The day went by quicker

The assumption and preconceived thoughts

Disappeared as I looked at fellow human

Who wanted to be taught

Different form

Same concept

I will always be a teacher
