This day marks the end

The end of what was

The end of what will be

I step forward into this day

I step forward with eyes forward

I step forward with my eyes looking up

Today will be a new day

A new life

A new way for me

Behind is what was

Not to be forgotten

Just not to be lived in anymore

It made me who I am today

But it will not serve me in

who I will be tomorrow

Inside of today lies hope

A new future

A new life

I know what direction it will go

To be able to sit within myself

Love on all the parts of me that were less

They all balance out to be who I am

Who I was always created to be

The development of me

One can not stay in what was

They have to reach and stretch

And more forward

I am taking that step

I will not apologize for being

That is not my role anymore

I will be in today what today brings to me

I will walk with my head high

I will walk with intention

Not to outperform or be better

But to be me

And bring all of me to this world

I heard the universe yesterday

I heard it very clearly

I will press in and be all I am to be
